CREEK NEWS (May 25, 2004) The Bi-Lo near the intersection of Highways 49 and 160 is giving shoppers the opportunity to donate $1 (or more) to the Steele Creek Library Association fundraiser when they pass through the cashier line. This will continue through June 9. We encourage everyone to visit Bi-Lo and make a donation during the next couple of weeks. Bi-Lo will make an additional donation based on the amount contributed by its shoppers. The Steele Creek Library Association continues to raise monies to enhance the new branch library on Steele Creek Road. Doug Youngblood, President of the Library Association says, "We are doing this to improve the quality of life in our community by having the best library possible for all of our citizens, young and old. We are asking each household in Steele Creek to make a small contribution to our effort, since it benefits everyone. All contributions are important, regardless of size." In addition to donating at Bi-Lo through June 9, supporters can mail their tax deductible contribution to the address below:
