Palisades Challenged in Lawsuit

(February 7, 2002) Residents who live near the planned Palisades development near Lake Wylie have sued the developers and Mecklenburg County claiming the County Commissioners violated procedures when approving zoning changes on December 11. The plaintiffs hope to force redesign of the development that would better protect the environment and eliminate most development other than detached, single-family housing from the plan.
