Steele Creek that currently is within the Charlotte city limits is
in City Council District 3. Many additional Steele Creek
neighborhoods likely will be annexed by Charlotte in 2005 and become
part of District 3 as well. Finally, all of the unincorporated area
of Steele Creek is within Charlotte's Extraterritorial Planning and
Zoning Jurisdiction, and thus the Charlotte City Council has
jurisdiction over all rezoning petitions in Steele Creek.
