CMPD Steele Creek
Division is Collecting Toys for their Christmas Event
(November 8, 2021) The Steele Creek Division of the
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is collecting toys for their
Community Christmas Event for area children in need, which will take place at an area apartment
Santa Claus will come and give away the toys to the children, and the
children will be able to have pictures taken with Santa.
They will have music and treats for the kids.
This is a Christmas event that they have done every year for the last
They are requesting the generous assistance of our Steele Creek Division Officers, family members, and friends to collect
or donate toys for the children, which is the most important part of this event.
they were able to give out toys to over 450 children. This year,
they will need to collect at least that same number of toys to be sure
they have enough for every child that attends.
Suggested toys are soccer balls, basketballs, and footballs for the boys, and dolls and teddy bears for the girls.
That way it will be easier to separate them and give them away by gender,
although every toy that people can donate will be happily received.
They are expecting at least that same number of children attending the event
The donated toys can be brought to the Steele Creek Division office front lobby, where boxes
are available to collect them, or you can request a pick up, whatever is easier.
The Division office is at the sorner of South Tryon Street and
Westinghouse Boulevard (2227 Westinghouse Boulevard).
Please donate toys by December 8 so that they will have time to sort them out and get them ready for the event.
But if you have more donations after that day they will be happy to
accept them as well.
The contact person for this community event is
