Donations, Volunteers Needed for New South Pine Academy
(August
5, 2021) Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) is opening the new
South Pine Academy this month on Sandy Porter Road. The
new elementary school's principal, Dianna Newman, is reaching out to
the community for support in the opening of this new school. Because
most students come from moderate to high poverty families, it is
classified as a Title 1 school.
They have a need for school supplies, and also volunteer help
and items for a school clothing closet and food pantry, Ms. Newman
is also trying to build school spirit. This can help the students
want to be at school.
Special donation request to launch a new school:
-
T-shirt Fund: goal to provide all students with a school T-shirt
by Oct. 1
-
