National Night Out
August 7 at Berewick Recreation Center
(August
4, 2018) The
Berewick Recreation Center and the
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Steele Creek Division are holding a National Night Out event
at the Berewick Recreation Center (located at Berewick Elementary
School) at 5910 Dixie River Road on Tuesday, August 7 from 5:15 to
7:15 PM.
WHAT IS NATIONAL NIGHT OUT?
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

National Night Out is designed to:
- Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
- Generate support for crime prevention
- Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police community relations
Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
Join your Berewick and Steele Creek neighbors and officers from the Steele
Creek Division to promote police-community partnerships and
neighborhood comraderie and make our neighborhoods safer and more
caring places to livve.
