Book Signing Party to Benefit On Eagles Wings Ministries

Talbot Davis(June 7, 2016) Good Shepherd United Methodist Church is hosting a book signing party in celebration of the release of the latest Bible study book written by Pastor Talbot Davis, Solve: Finding God's Solutions in a World of Problems. The event will be held on Monday, June 20 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in the newly constructed Living Room at the Moss Road location, 13110 Moss Road, Charlotte, NC, 28273. The books are on sale for $10 each at this event, and 100% of the proceeds from the books bought at this event go to On Eagles Wings Ministries. OEWM is a Charlotte-based charity that serves communities of women rescued from the human trafficking industry.

Talbot Davis is the Pastor at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church on Moss Road in the Steele Creek area. All of his books have been used as Bible studies for many life groups and by aspiring preachers and pastors. Each book is based on a series of sermons he preached at Good Shepherd. "Solve" will draw readers to the message of God's solutions, rather than life's problems. The book follows Nehemiah's footsteps, challenging readers to grow in their faith, and encouraging questions that readers and groups toward reflection and prayer. The book can also serve as a sermon outline for other pastors to use within their own sermons.

In addition to helping church attendees connect and discuss the new Bible study, Davis hopes that members of the community will come out to see the new construction project at the church, and learn more about the On Eagles Wings Ministries charity. Founder and Representative Emily Fitzpatrick from OEWM will attend the event to answer questions and provide information to community members who are interested in volunteer and donation opportunities.
