Learn How You Can Help Expand the Local IT Talent Pool June 23

(June 16, 2015) On June 23 a group of employers (led by Red Ventures, Tax Management Associates, and IT-oLogy), will be meeting at 9:00 am at the CPCC Harris Campus (3210 CPCC Harris Campus Dr, near Morris Filed Dr and Billy Graham Parkway). We will have a conversation there about the shortage of skilled IT talent, what some employers are doing about it, and local best practices that have already proven to make a difference whenever like-minded employers can coalesce to develop programs and communicate their common needs/recommendations to educational institutions.

In partnership with local employers, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, and the NC Department of Commerce, on Tuesday, June 23rd CPCC will host an IT Employer Consortium meeting,

The purpose of this meeting is to hear about how local employers can begin working more closely together to expand the local IT talent pool. You will hear from local employers such as Red Ventures and Tax Management Associates who are taking active steps to develop programs with high schools and post-secondary institutions to meet their IT hiring goals. Plus, we will discuss other local best practices receiving national recognition for successfully reducing the skills gap in other industries that could easily be duplicated to expand Charlotte-Mecklenburg's IT talent pool.

I hope you will join us on June 23rd…we look forward to seeing and hearing from you! For more information and to register, please click here:

If we don't do it together... who will?
