STEELE CREEK NEWS
Library's 10th Anniversary Celebration is Tomorrow (August 6)
(August
5,
2014) The
Steele Creek Branch Library will be 10 years old this
week! Come join your neighbors for a Birthday Celebration in the
Community Room on Wednesday afternoon, August 6, from 2:00 to 4:00.
There'll be cake,
door prizes, and puzzles. Demonstrate your knowledge of Steele Creek
Library trivia, and you could win an Xbox!
The actual
anniversary is on Thursday, the 7th, but the library has been closed
on Thursdays. However, starting September 2, all libraries
throughout the system will be open Monday through Thursday from 10
a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The 15,000 square
foot library had its Ribbon Cutting on August 7, 2004. It replaced a
storefront library that had opened in 1994 and was located near the Food Lion in the Steele
Creek Commons Shopping Center.
