Olympic Team Wins
Robotics Competition - Needs Help to Go to Nationals
Olympic Won! We're
Eligible for Nationals! Can You Help Send a Student?
(March
14,
2014) The Olympic Community of School's
FIRST
Robotics Team,
T-Rex #4935, was part of an alliance of three
teams that won the Palmetto Regional Competition a few weeks
ago. They have qualified for the championships in St. Louis
on the last weekend in April.
As the film
below demonstrates, Olympic's STEAM students have
built a foundation of hands-on workplace skills through this
year's FIRST Robotics team competition. It shows how industry
and education
work together.
The 22
students have worked extremely hard for this opportunity but
now have to raise the money they need to attend the
championship in St. Louis. They have
already raised $25,000 and dedicated 400 hours apiece to
build their robot, Reptar.
If all of them are going to compete in St. Louis, they must
raise over $20,000 more by April. They are currently doing
their best through other fundraising activities but would
appreciate it if anyone would be willing to donate!
Please go to

family!
All you have to do, is copy and paste the link to their
GoFundMe and email it or post it on your social media
accounts. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
