Kennedy Middle
School Students are Collecting Toys for Tots
(December
6, 2013)
Kennedy Middle School students are collecting toys for
the U.S. Marine Corps'
2013 Toys for Tots campaign to help bring Christmas to
underprivileged children in Mecklenburg County.
They are
collecting new, unwrapped toys for children aged 3 to 13 through
Friday, December 13. Their goal this year is to donate 100 or more
toys to Toys for Tots.
The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a shiny new
toy at Christmas, a message of hope to needy youngsters that will
motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic
citizens, and community leaders.
The community is encouraged to bring new,
unwrapped toys to to the Kennedy Middle School office next week
during normal school hours, but no later than 3:45 on Friday,
December 13th. Or you can give toys to any Kennedy student to bring
to his or her home room at school.
A Marine with
Toys for Tots will be picking up the toys from Kennedy after school
lets out on Friday.
If you have any
questions, you may contact the Kennedy Middle School office at
980-343-5540.
The Kennedy Student
Council, faculty and staff, and the remainder of the student body
appreciate your participation in the Toys for Tots Program!
