Olympic Holds Harding
to 0 First Downs, Ties State Record
(November
4, 2013) The Olympic Trojans defeated the Harding Rams 55-0 Friday
night at Harding. The sparse crowd of faithful Trojan fans witnessed
a feat that has not happened in 8 years in the State of North
Carolina and only 11 times since 1984. The Trojan defense held the
Harding Rams to 0 first downs in the game and limited them to -17
yards of total offense. The Olympic Trojan offense rushed 55 times
for 484 yards behind Trey Gowen's 11 carries for 122 yards and Tyler
Massey's 126 yds on 16 carries.
This will be recorded in the NCHSAA state football record book.

Olympic plays its
final regular season game this Friday, November 8 at 7:00 PM against
Phillip O. Berry Academy at the E. E. Waddell Stadium at 7030
Nations Ford Road. So far this season Olympic has a 3-3 record in
the SoMeck 8 Conference and a 6-4 record overall.
