Candidate Forum at
Steele Creek AME Zion Church October 12
(September
20, 2013) The Charlotte District Voters Coordinator Department is sponsoring a Candidate
Brunch and Forum on Saturday, October 12 from 10:00 AM to 12:00
Noon. It will be held in the Fellowship
Room
at the Steele Creek AME Zion Church at
1500 Shopton Rd (near
the Police and Fire Training Academy).
Candidates will have an opportunity state their platform and
participate in a question and answer session with the constituents.
Candidates for Mayor, Charlotte City Council (at-large and district
representatives), and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education
(district representatives) have been invited.
Candidates in districts from throughout Charlotte and Mecklenburg
County have been invited, but Steele Creek residents will
specifically be voting in four races:

Election Day is
Tuesday, November 5. Early voting starts on October 17 at the Hal
Marshall Building in Uptown Charlotte and the following week at the
Steele Creek Library and other sites. Early voting ends on Saturday,
November 2.
