Olympic Boys
Basketball Team Undefeated
(December
29,
2011) The Olympic
High School boys basketball team improved their record to 11-0 with
a close 59-57 victory over Dorman High School of Spartanburg, SC
last night.
This was Olympic's
first game in the
Upward Classic being held at Dorman Arena in Spartanburg.
The Trojans play Lancaster High School at 8:00 this evening in the
second semifinal. West Charlotte plays Bishop O'Connell of
Virginia in the first semifinal. The championship is Friday at 7:00
PM. Games are available for viewing over the Internet on the Upward
Classic web site.
Olympic advanced to
the top of the Charlotte Observer's Sweet 16 in early December after
the previous Number 1, West Charlotte, lost to Harding. Olympic
could play West Charlotte in the Upward Classic championship Friday.
Olympic's previous
games include a 86-38 win over South Aiken (SC) in the championship
of the
Aiken County Challenge.
