Association's 50th Anniversary Celebration is March 29
(March 8, 2008)
The
Steele Creek Athletic Association is having its 50th
Anniversary Celebration in the late afternoon and evening of March
29.
From 4 until 7 they'll have arcade games, air inflatables, BBQ, live
music, sports competitions, face painting, cotton candy, and much
more! After dark they'll be showing a sports movie. Everyone should
bring blankets and chairs and enjoy relaxing under the stars while
watching the movie.
They hope that all players, past and presents, their families, and
others in the community
SCAA got its start in
1958 when it became a part of Little League baseball. They moved to
the current site on Choate Circle in the 1980's. They have 10
baseball/softball fields, 2 football fields, and half dozen soccer
fields. But due to growth (and who doesn't know about growth in
Steele Creek), they're trying to acquire more land to add even more
fields and parking spaces!
If you would like to participate by making a donation or renting a
booth space please contact Kathy Cuff via email at
Kathy@brawleymanagement.com. The booth rentals are
$35.00. This is a fund raiser for SCAA and most of the participants
are donating a percentage if not all of the proceeds by to the
association. See also the
50th Anniversary Celebration flyer.
