New Regional Library May be in the Future for Berewick Area (June 19, 2007) County Manager Harry Jones' FY2008 recommended capital budget includes $1,650,000 funding for purchase of land in the Berewick area for a regional library. Funding would come from a proposed County Land Referendum that also includes funding for several parks projects. Funding for actual construction was deferred to FY2009. The recommendations of the Citizens' Capital Budget Advisory Committee also included funding for this land purchase. The Citizens' Capital Budget Advisory Committee recommendations and the County Manager's recommendations were presented at the June 19 County Commissioners meeting. See also: |
