Volunteers Needed at Area Schools!
(December
7, 2006) Junior Achievement is looking for volunteers at schools
right in your neighborhood!
This year, Steele Creek area schools will be involved in an exciting
student enrichment program called Junior Achievement (JA). In
partnership with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, JA uses hands-on
experiences to inspire young people to understand business,
economics, and free enterprise in order to improve the quality of
their lives and open their minds to their potential.
We need volunteers to facilitate five to eight, 45 minute lessons
that are easy to teach and fun for the students! The lessons are
scripted and all the necessary materials are provided to make
teaching this program as easy as possible.
Share your experience with children today! Participating schools
include Lake Wylie ES, Winget Park ES, Steele Creek ES, Berryhill
ES, Kennedy MS, Southwest MS and Olympic HS.
