Read about the New Walkers Branch Trail (August 31, 2006) Childress-Klein, developer of the new RiverGate shopping center, has constructed a greenway trail along Walkers Branch beginning behind Best Buy and continuing to the end of the center across from Home Depot. The trail is complete, accessible and available for walkers, joggers, and bikers. Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department will hold an opening ceremony in October.
