Read about the New Walkers Branch Trail in the Lake Wylie Pilot (June 20, 2006) Childress-Klein, developer of the new RiverGate shopping center, has constructed a greenway trail along Walkers Branch behind the new stores that are still under construction at the center. The trail isn't totally complete and won't open officially until the fall, but it is accessible and available for walkers, joggers, and bikers. Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department will hold an opening ceremony in the fall. Details will appear here when they become available.
