STEELE CREEK NEWS
Help Plant the
Children's Garden at the Steele Creek Library
(March
23, 2006) The garden on the south end of the Steele Creek Library
was landscaped when the library opened in 2004, but it needs more
attention. The
Steele Creek
Library Association is having new beds added, but more
plants are needed.
$100 will buy a tree. (12 needed.) $25 will buy a bush, $10 or $15
will buy perennials. Other funds are needed to purchase
several items to go into the garden, such as a sundial and a
pergola. Any amount would be welcome!
Volunteers also are
needed to plant the garden. Supporters hope to get a Garden
Committee organized to keep it up.
If you would like to
contribute to the garden effort, please send your tax deductible check, payable to
Steele Creek Library Association, to:

The Library
Association's Fund Drive in 2004 raised $93,000 to provide extra
enhancements to the library. (See

continued support will
help keep the Steele Creek Branch Library the best in the Charlotte
