STEELE CREEK NEWS
Public Hearings
for Four Rezoning Petitions in Steele Creek on September 19
(September
4, 2005) The Charlotte City Council will hold its monthly zoning
meeting at 6:00 pm on Monday September 19 in the meeting
chamber at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Government Center (600 E.
Fourth Street). (Free parking is available at the
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center Parking Deck (3rd and
Davidson) during City Council meetings. Visitors can enter the
parking deck through the Davidson Street entrance prior to the City
Council meetings and exit freely after 7:00 pm.)
The Council will vote
on petitions that have been presented in previous meetings and then
hold public hearings on new petitions. Rezoning petitions for four
properties within Steele Creek currently are scheduled, although
some might be deferred.
Two of the sites are
outside the Charlotte city limits but within the city's
extraterritorial planning and zoning jurisdiction (ETJ) where the
Charlotte City Council has zoning jurisdiction. The Charlotte ETJ
includes all of the unincorporated area within Steele Creek.
