Ride to Read
Coming This Fall to Steele Creek - Sponsors Needed
(June 25,
2005) The Second Annual Ride to Read will be held on November 5,
2005. The event will offer members of the Charlotte community the
chance to come together for a day of cycling and the celebration of
abilities.
Push America and the
Steele
Creek YMCA have joined together for this event to help
champion their cause to benefit the local Charlotte community. After
the ride is completed a community celebration will take place with
food from local restaurants, music from K104.7, and plenty of games
for children of all ages. This event is not just for cyclists, so be
sure to bring out friends and family and get ready to have a great
time!
Registration coming soon for cyclists of all abilities. All riders
in Ride to Read are required to wear ANSI or SNELL approved helmets.
The whole community will benefit from Ride to Read. A portion of all
proceeds will be awarded to the Steele Creek YMCA Project Starfish,
which provides vital literacy skills to 1st and 2nd grade Charlotte
Mecklenburg students. This event will also help to enhance the
quality of life for people with disabilities through the projects
and programs of Push America.
There is still time to join the Ride to Read sponsorship team--July
31, 2005 is the deadline. Your company can be a part of this
exciting event, receive great exposure, and support the Charlotte
community through your sponsorship. To find out more about the
