Kids Can Learn
about Reptiles at McDowell Nature Center on January 15

2004) The McDowell Nature Center is offering two programs for
children in two age groups to learn about reptiles on Saturday,
January 15. Read more below.
PRESCHOOL
NATURALIST SERIES: REPTILE RAMBLINGS
McDowell
Nature Center (15222 York Road) is offering a Preschool Naturalist
Series: Reptile Ramblings program on January 15, 2005. Due to its
popularity, this program is being offered at two different times,
10:00 - 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. Scales tell the tales of
these creatures we call reptiles. Join us as we explore the
different ways in which scales and other unique features help theses
animals to survive in the wild. This program costs $3/child and is
open to children ages 3 - 5. A chaperone is required. Space is
limited and pre-registration is required. For more information or to

ECO-TREKKERS: REPTILE RAP
McDowell
Nature Center (15222 York Road) is offering an Eco-Trekkers: Reptile
Rap program on January 15, 2005 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. There
are a large variety of reptiles native to this area. Join us as we
learn about some of these scaly creatures and find out what
characteristics make them so unique and fascinating. The program is
open to children ages 6 - 8 and costs $3/child. Ages 15 and under
must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited and
