Candidates for 2004 Primaries Set

(May 9, 2004) With the close of the candidate filing period on Friday, May 7, candidates are set for the 2004 elections. The primary will be on July 20, the runoff primary will be on  August 17, and the general election will be on November 2. Offices on the ballot include Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Council of State, US Senate, US House, North Carolina general Assembly, Mecklenburg County Commissioners, Register of Deeds, and numerous judge seats.  For a complete list of candidates for this area and more information on voter registration, schedules, and other election topics, see the Mecklenburg County Board of Elections web site.
