Residents Association Annual Meeting is February 28
Time:
6:00 PM - Pre-meeting Meet and Mingle There will be a pre-meeting from 6:00 to 7:00 when attendees can meet, mingle, and learn about over thirty non-profit groups and local government agencies that will have displays with information about their services and programs. Staff with the Mecklenburg County Tax Assessor's Office will give a presentation on the 2019 property revaluation, and staff with the Charlotte Department of Planning will discuss Planning for Steele Creek Growth and Quality of Life, especially as it impacts roads. Board of Directors Nominations The Board of the Steele Creek Residents Association is now accepting additional nominations for three new Board members per the following section of the amended Bylaws approved on November 13: Article IX, Section 1(b) Nominations for open Director positions may also be submitted by Association members in good standing, with one additional member seconding the nomination, to the Chairman of the Nomination Committee at least thirty (30) days prior to the annual meeting. The Nominating Committee will review submitted nominees according to the same qualifications as the candidates already approved for the slate provided such nominee(s) consent to the nomination. Association members who have paid their dues may submit a nomination for a Board member provided another dues paying member seconds the nomination. Note that membership is by household, so the person making a nomination and the person seconding the nomination must be from different households. Please send member nominations and seconds to SCRA President Karl Froelich at kfroelich1@gmail.com no later than January 29.
